Marathon Info

The Ojai 2 Ocean Marathon is 26.2 miles of mountain and oceanfront scenery. Starting in beautiful Ojai, California, the course begins at 700 ft. altitude and gradually descends to sea-level finishing near the historic Ventura, California Pier. The course is a fast, USATF sanctioned Boston Marathon Qualifier (CA11035RS). The Marathon is limited to the first 1000 entrants.

Awards:

Each finisher will receive a medal with the race logo made of recycled materials. The top 5 overall male and female finishers as well as the top 3 masters male and female finishers will receive special eco-friendly awards.

Shirts:

Each entrant will receive a recycled technical fiber running shirt featuring the race logo.

Timing:

Each competitor will be professionally chip timed.

Post-Race Party:

After the race, everyone can celebrate at the Ventura Promenade Park for the awards ceremony, music, beer garden, race day expo, and more!

Start Line Shuttle:

Each competitor will choose a shuttle time when you register. The shuttle leaves from the Ventura County Fairgrounds (near the finish line) to the Marathon start line in Ojai. Parking is $5 in the fairgrounds parking lot, and there are a limited number of free parking spaces in the near area. The trip is approximately 20 minutes. Shuttles will begin to run at 4:00am. There will be parking near the start line, however a shuttle will not be provided after the race from the start to the finish.

Packet Pick-Up and Expo:

Packet pick-up and expo will be located near the finish line in Promenade Park.

Friday June 1, 2012: 3:00pm – 8:00pm

Saturday June 2, 2012: 3:00pm – 8:00pm

Sunday June 3, 2012: 4:00am-5:00am (There is an extra $25 fee to pick up your packet race day) morning)

Start Line Bag Drop:

There will be a bag drop at the start line. However, you be required to provide your own bag. Please mark your bag legibly with your first and last name. Your bag can be retrieved at the finish line area. Compete Green and the Ojai 2 Ocean Marathon & Half are not responsible for lost or stolen items at the bag drop.
